Possessive Case - Grammar and Exercises


That's the way to express that someone owns something.
(So drückst du aus, dass jemanden etwas gehört.)
With persons and animals (bei Personen und Tieren):

Singular: 's
This is Tom's bike. (T0ms Fahrrad)
This is Kathy's mother. (Kathys Mutter)
Plural: s'These are the boys' bikes. (die Fahrräder der Buben)
This is the girls' mum. (die Mutter der Mädchen)

With things (bei Dingen)
of

The colour of the table is black.
