My superhero





Use these resources to prepare to talk about your favourite superhero. Look up the words here: LeoDictionary

1 Outfit:
star-spangled
skin-tight body suit
dark glasses
elbow pads
shoulder pads
knee pads
protective vest
mask
goggles
helmet
claws
armour
whip
shield
tights 
leotard
gloves
sword
belt
wings

Classify them in categories: head/eyes - body - weapons - feet/hands...

Describe his/her oufit: Don't forget to use colours describing the distinctive adjectives.
 Wonderwoman wears star-spangled shorts and red and white high heel boots.


2 Expressing abilities:

When talking or writing a superhero, you need to describe his/her superpowers.
Superman is able/ has the ability to regenerate within few seconds of receiving a wound.
 Comparing:

Use comparative forms to describe someone more precisely.
Superman is faster than a speeding bullet.

You may use the following adjectives: strong - agile - tough - fierce - enduring

3 Talking or writing about personalities:

Here is a list of adjectives describing superheroes' personalities:
courageous - generous - fearless - discreet - friendly - loyal - honest - resourceful - reliable - relentless

Use the Present Tense: He doesn't kill bad guys. She flies a plane.
