Song - Don't know much about History - Sam Cooke

Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about a science book
Don't know much about the French I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be

Don't know much about geography
Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra
Don't know what a slide rule is for
But I know that one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this would be

Now, I don't claim to be an "A" student
But I'm trying to be
For maybe by being an "A" student baby
I can win your love for me

Will - Future / Going-to-Future

Hi, Superstars,

Do you remember the Future Tenses?
You sure do.

Let's look at the rules again:

Beide Zeitformen finden in der Zukunft statt.

Die Will-Future wird für Vorhersagen, Vermutungen, Versprechen und für sponatane Entscheidungen verwendet.

Die Going-to-Future wird für Handlungen verwendet, die geplant sind.

Die Will-Future wird in der Schriftsprache (in Zeitungen) auch dann verwendet, wenn man in Unterhaltungen eher die Going-To-Future nehmen würde.

Will-Future:
Aussagesätze:
Hilfsverb will + Infinitiv des Verbs.
Es wird in allen Formen will + Infinitiv (auch bei he, she oder it) verwendet.
He will play football. Kurzform: He’ll play football.

Im Britischen Englisch wird für die erste Person (I/we) auch manchmal shall anstelle von will verwendet.

Verneinte Sätze:
He will not play football. Kurzform: He won’t play football/He’ll not play football.

Frage:
Will he play football?

Going-to-Future:
Aussagesätze:

Form von to be (am, are oder is) going to + Infinitiv des Verbs.
I am going to play fooball. Kurzform: He/she/it is going to play football.
We/you/they are going to play football.

Verneinung:
Bei der Verneinung wird not einfach hinter das Hilfsverb (am, are oder is) gesetzt.
I am not going to play football.
He/she/it is not going to play football.
We/you/they are not going to play football.

Fragen:
Am I going to play football?
Is he/she/it going to play football?
Are we/you/they going to play football?

That's easy-peasy, isn't it?

Now let's do some exercises:

What's the weather like where you live?

Weather in April can be funny, don't you think?
Only a few days ago it was snowing and it felt more like winter than spring. But as long as you are wrapped up nice and warm in your hat, scarf and jumper, it does not matter how cold it is.

What clothes do you like to wear when you play outside?
Here you can read along to find out what people wear when it is cold, hot and rainy.
