one - ones

Mit one oder ones kannst du Wortwiederholungen vermeiden und zwar dann, wenn du dich auf Dinge oder Personen beziehst, die du eben erst (im selben Satz oder im Satz davor) erwähnt hast.
Du verwendest one, wenn du ein Nomen im Singular nicht wiederholen willst. Du verwendest ones, wenn du ein Nomen im Plural nicht wiederholen willst.

Possessive Case

That's the way to express that someone owns something.
(So drückst du aus, dass jemanden etwas gehört.)
With persons and animals (bei Personen und Tieren):
This is Tom's bike. (T0ms Fahrrad)
This is Kathy's mother. (Kathys Mutter)
Plural: s'
These are the boys' bikes. (die Fahrräder der Buben)
This is the girls' mum. (die Mutter der Mädchen)
With things (bei Dingen)
