Mascots – Fill in the gaps
Two weeks ago Sandra’s class HAD a Maths test.
Sandra WAS not nervous, but some of the children in her class WERE very nervous. When the teacher CAME in, Sandra’s best friend said, “Oh no, my mascot is not here. I think I LEFT it at home.” Sandra doesn’t think mascots can help in a test, but she always has her mascots in her pencilcase. It’s a little green clown with red ears and yellow hair. “You can have my mascot,” Sandra SAID to Claire and GAVE it to her. Claire TOOK the clown and STARTED writing. A few days later, they GOT the tests back. Sandra had a B, but Claire HAD an A. “Maybe a mascot can help!” Sandra thought.
